New Rok GP
The western Canadian Rok series is introducing the New ROK GP for 2012. The new ROK GP is a 125cc Touch and Go engine based on the concept of the current KF engines and the Super ROK. According to Vortex factory driver Marco Ardigo, it’s a really fun engine to drive with a similar feel and speed as that of a KF2 engine. The GP will offer KF2 like power and performance at a much lower cost. The retail on the engine is $3895.00. With the ROK GP’s performance and price point it could be a great step forward for those looking to venture into something faster than their standard Rotax, ROK or Leopard powered karts.
Karting classes such as Rotax and Rok are very popular in both Europe and North America. But the European karter has the option of stepping up the level of performance and competition with KF. KF is a fantastic concept but is much too expensive for the North American market. The ROK GP encompasses the KF model without the KF price tag.
